Between the middle of January and the middle of April, the waters around Grand Turk are visited by the Humpback Whales as they make their annual migration from the North Atlantic to the Silver Banks (50 miles South of Grand Turk). The whales swim south to calve, and the show they put on is breathtaking.
The Turks and Caicos Islands are one of the few places in the world where you can see Humpback whales in warmer waters. And it's one of the only places in the world where swimming and snorkeling with the whales is permitted.
